Anniversaries
The 100th anniversary of the death of William Hurlstone occurred in June 2006. This was ignored by the BBC Radio 3. This same organisation has spent huge sums of money during the last fifty years commissioning second and third rate music. It frequently plays tired and second rate recordings.
The four major recording companies tend to re-record the same pieces of music over and over again, frequently for the ego of the performers.
Here is a list of anniversaries of composers of piano concertos, good middling and poor who at least deserve to be explored.
- Czerny Carl was born 20 November 1791.
