Composer Information Sought
Albeniz, Isaac The second piano concerto in E flat, was left incomplete in manuscript. How much of it exists?
Balakirev, Mili The first concerto in F sharp minor was only completed to the end of the first movement. Are there any fragments of a second movement in existence?
Beethoven, Ludvig Van The piano concerto of 1784 in E flat exists today as a piano part with orchestral queues. Are there any re-orchestrations of this work other than that done by Willy Hess? Any contemporary accounts of performances would be welcome.
Goetz, Herman There are sketches for a third piano concerto in D minor. How much editing would it take to make it performable?
Huber, Hans The fourth piano concerto exists only in manuscript, which it is understood would need considerable work to make it performable.
Langgaard, Siegfried The second concerto in E flat minor was never published and was pillaged by his son Rued, for his own piano concerto. Is it known if the original score of Siegfried's concerto is in a performable state?
McEwan, John There is a single movement concerto in manuscript. Is it performable?
Medtner, Nicolai The manuscript of a konzertstuck written before 1914 is rumoured to be in Buffalo, yet there is supposed to be one in Russia. Are there two, two versions of one, or do they even exist? I have yet to hear from anyone who has seen either or can say how much of either exists. More information please.
Parry, Hubert There are fragments of an early piano concerto in manuscript. Is there enough music to make a performable edition?
Stavenhagen, Bernhard He is reported as having written three piano concertos. One in B minor, op.4 has been recorded. One in A major, which was thought lost has been reconstructed from a two piano score and recorded. Where is the third? Any information about the second or third concertos would be welcome.
